Homer Laughlin Conchita pattern decal on Swing shape set of 4 small plates. Conchita is one of several lines of Mexican themed decal ware produced by Homer Laughlin through the 1930s-40s. Homer Laughlin released all of their decal ware on a series of dish styles, this is their Swing shape. The Swing shape is a plain style without pressed pattern or scalloped edge, just a slight raised band at the rim which has a red pin stripe around each plate. The Homer Laughlin Conchita decals feature a swag of chilis and gourds to one side, and a couple of pieces of colored pottery near a blooming cactus on the other. These plates were all produced between 1940-1941 (one of these plates has a back stamp dating it to 1940, and three of these plates share a back stamp dating to 1941), all of them are in terrific condition.
