Horses original art painting by Nevada artist Dan Howard. This large format piece is titled “Jaquima to Freno”, which refers to the headstall gear seen on each horse. A real life buckaroo manning a ranch in the Nevada desert, Dan Howard’s western art is autobiographical. Faux bois painted barn wood frames this large scale scene and has this curious trio providing any wall with a window into the barnyard scene. Specializing in gear, these three headstalls speak to the absent riders modes and means. With a Pop-Art sensibility, Howard’s western art is always accurate from the standpoint of working cowboys and wonderfully, whimsical to the eyes of everyone. Framed acryclic on hardboard.
