Storefront: The Lucky Star at The Vassar House is One Year Old
We opened our storefront in Reno, NV last December and can hardly believe it’s been a year! It’s not been without trial, as we waited 4 months for the city of Reno to approve our business license (grrrr…) only to open our MidTown Reno business in the middle of a 2 year road construction project. Ugh. Well, at least it’s all downhill from here… we hope!
Our storefront has married the various arms of our business under one roof. All of the western Americana and vintage cowboy goodness you’ve come to expect from www.LuckyStarGallery.com paired with the unique charm and eclecticism of our vintage home decor. The Vassar House is a 1930s era Craftsman style building, perfectly suited to hold the simply darling wares we are proud to bring you here!
The Lucky Star at The Vassar House is Reno’s ONLY vintage boutique, offering a bountiful selection of antiques, home decor, gifts, home fragrance, clothing, jewelry & accessories. Seasonally our beautiful heirloom yard is host to not only a gardeners delight, but is open for your perusal of our architectural salvage yard and summer tag sales.
Christmas time is simply our favorite, and there’s nothing quite like our store all dolled up for it! In keeping with our theme of having the cutest and most charming store you’ve ever been in, we make sure the store has the comfy, cozy feeling we all associate with Christmas. That includes having hot apple cider simmering on the stove, and home baked goods available, too. And, though our signature Roland Pine home fragrance line is very popular at this time of year… we carry it all year ’round.
In January we take a break, close the store and replenish. We look forward to putting Christmas away and bringing in new merchandise and having a fresh start in 2019. In January we plan to attend Brian Lebel’s Old West Show & Auction in Mesa, AZ where we will have fun playing with our girlfriend, Mary Emmerling and shop to bring you the spoils!
We look forward to seeing you all again February 1st when we re-open with our 2 day schedule:
Friday 10-6 & Saturday 10-4.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year,
Harriette & Missy Allison
